ACADEME
Is a committee created to undertake all projects and programs in coordination with the divisional directors and vice presidents.
The committee facilitates the implementation of the projects and programs. It is also tasked to create a pool of lecturers.
• To initiate integration of sugar technology subjects in the Engineering course, specially Mechanical and Chemical, and in Chemistry in both colleges and universities in sugar producing provinces.
• To hold an annual short course program on “Sugar Manufacturing” to practicing engineers and sugar technologists in actual mill operations;
• To create a pool resource speaker/lecturers from among sugar-producing provinces for them to conduct seminars in their respective areas in coordination with the committee.
• To conduct seminars, workshop and/or basic course in sugar technology to graduating students and professors.
• To coordinate with appropriate government agencies in conducting seminars and course on Farm Management.
• To initiate possible joint ventures and linkages with appropriate local and foreign, foundation, Association and Institutions, from both private and government sectors; and
• To perform such other functions as may be necessary for the attainment of its objectives or as may be assigned by the Board of Directors from time to time. Presently, the Committee is Chaired by Mrs. Jocelyn S. Sorrilla
