We are glad to inform you that, on top of the Don Carlos Locsin Award, PHILSUTECH launches a new awards program to recognize members who have made outstanding contributions in their specific fields of expertise in the sugar industry.
These fields are composed of the five PHILSUTECH divisions, namely:
1. Agriculture and Farm Engineering
2. Bio-Energy and Environmental Management
3. Factory Engineering
4. Management
5. Process
One awardee is chosen every year, starting this year, for each of the five divisions. The criteria for the nominees are:
a. Should be an active PHILSUTECH member (at least three consecutive years) from the date of nomination
b. Has served as lecturer, trainer or speaker on any sugar industry-related topics
c. Has demonstrated a broad knowledge of his field and enhanced the same through various research and innovations
d. With excellent contribution to the sugar industry in his field of expertise
e. Has developed and introduced new method or process that protects the workers’ condition and the environment (except for Management Division)
Each division has a separate set of specific criteria, a copy of which is hereby attached for your guidance.
To help PHILSUTECH in choosing the awardees, please nominate at least one candidate for each field from among the employees of your Company. The awardee will receive a plaque, cash, free overnight accommodation and round trip plane ticket or ferry boat during the convention.
We look forward to your cooperation and we will appreciate receiving your list of nominees on or before June 15, 2018 to give us sufficient time to conduct initial screening, validation and evaluation.
